I feel thankful that I had the possibility to teach Kundalini Yoga to a group of immigrants in the Netherlands. When I received the invitation I realized it was the same date I was celebrating one year anniversary since my brother passed away and I was planning to do something really special for this day, like going to the see in Scheveningen, where we lived in the past. But actually I thought what would my brother have liked me to do this day. The message was clear to me; life goes on and I feel happy when I can transmit the teachings from Kundalini Yoga. So I decided to go for it. I am being thankful that I could share the experience of practicing Kundalini Yoga with this people. When I saw all this people meditating, I felt a beautiful energy flowing from each and every person.
The 8th of March, International Women’s Day, started an event at Facebook, de ‘Godinnen Kracht’, where you receive a daily homework to achieve everyday during 10 days. The purpose of the event is make women aware of their own power by being themselves. One of the homeworks this week was to write 10 things to be thankful for. In our community/society we are used to complain when we disagree with something but, how often are you being thankful for who you are and what you have in your life? Or when you see the sun shining and you listen to the birds?
What about immigrants? They leave their countries because they are looking for happiness and a stable life. Here is where Kundalini Yoga can support you. When you are going through a difficult or challenging moment in your life you can find the support in your inner self. Kundalini Yoga strengthens your nervous system.
